SHORT TEMPER
Lyrics and music by Sawyer Fredericks I met a woman and IGave her everythingAnd I thoughtShe loved meI met a woman and IGave her everythingAnd I thoughtShe loved meIt wasn't working out andShe told me to get outOf her lifeI told her this isJust a phaseIt'll all beBetter in the morning
You waitYou waitShe didn't listenShe didn't listenShe didn't listenShe locked the doors andTold me to get outOf her lifeShe locked the doors andTold me to get outOf her lifeOpen the door now I'mTired of standingIn the rainOpen the door now I'mTired of standingIn the rainMama told meI had a short temperLet me inOpen the door now I'mTired of standingIn the rainShe didn't listenShe didn't listenShe didn’t listenShe didn’t listen
Open the door now I'm Tired of standing In the rain Open the door now I'm Tired of standing In the rain I met a woman and IGave her everythingAnd I thoughtShe loved meI met a woman and IGave her everythingAnd I thoughtShe loved me
I met a woman and I Gave her everything And I thought She loved me
(Commentary by Kirsten - Published on Mar 23, 2012: "I've been exploring a lot of early blues singers lately, especially Howlin' Wolf. And I think Sawyer was absorbing some of the qualities by osmosis, because this is quite a new sound for him. I love his stomping on his guitar case for added percussion. And this is our first video with him playing the Gibson given to him when his grandfather passed away last summer. It's a little hard for him to play, but I think he'll grow into it ")
