Who IS this guy?
You've heard it... you may have even thought it... I believe I have the answer.
Sawyer Fredericks... you've followed his every move for over two years now. You know this guy inside and out. You've seen his face so close up that you can inspect his tonsils, but you know something has changed. You're just not sure what.
Here are just a few examples of his odd behavior. Let's start with the most obvious change in behavior... Selfies. Sawyer has a deeply ingrained aversion to selfies,
yet here he is.. a selfie maven!
He's even asking fans what they think about his clothes!
What happened?
The answer came to me when the band was named "Forty-two." Yes, Forty-two. It was a reference to The Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe in which a computer named "Deep Thought" was specifically built to provide The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. (click here for details) The fact that Sawyer's band has a name at all, after touring a whole year without a name, is also a clue. That there are currently 35 band names as of this writing did not go unnoticed. It's highly unlikely to be a coincidence.
Deep Thought is actually Arthur Lee Fredericks. Having answered the Ultimate Question, Art has now been re-purposed by NASA for more practical matters. This is the proof:
Art has created a Clone Sawyer and has taken the Real Sawyer into a Top Secret NASA facility so they can prepare to send him back to his home planet aboard a vessel named "Galactic Enterprise" which was, uncoincidentally, the very first name for Sawyer's band. Art will remain here on earth to maintain Clone Sawyer by providing performance enhancements such as software upgrades to Clone Sawyer and Art's other clone creations, Jerome and Chris.
The actual swap was made at Falcon Ridge. Real Sawyer stayed hidden behind his guitar except when performing,
but on the third day, Clone Sawyer was released onto planet earth... and our first glimpse of him was in the interview below.
Clone Sawyer enjoying his freedom.
Clone Sawyer became fascinated with a simple coconut and a piece of string
because everything is a learning experience. This "learning experience" programming was carried over from Real Sawyer.
When Clone Sawyer and Jerome jam, the software for the next show is being uploaded from Jerome's guitar into Sawyer's guitar... and from there, into Clone Sawyer's central processing unit for rendering. There was some additional programming the other night, and Jerome had to reach out and strum Sawyer's guitar to enable the higher data transfer rate; as evidenced by this:
Otherwise inexplicable details:
I'm certain the band names are all clues of some sort... possibly secret code that I haven't deciphered yet. Given the preponderance of evidence, the answer is out there my friends.
Just as NASA's Mission Control told John Glenn on his first trip to space, I say Godspeed, Real Sawyer! Have a safe journey!

Otherwise inexplicable details:
- Kirsten hasn't attended any shows in person since Falcon Ridge.
- Art is the only member of the band with no social media accounts.
- Clone Sawyer was on the tour during haying, a seasonal event that Real Sawyer enjoys tremendously and would never miss.
- The software requires him to say he's taking requests. Then he'll say something like "I think I heard someone say..." and start playing. The actual song was pre-programmed.
- When Sawyer broke a guitar string during a recent show, he didn't go get his other guitar. Art did.
- During the same show, after the solo set, it was Art that brought back the TS guitar, fully strung.
- Sawyer has actually bantered on stage... with the band, the fans, anyone that will listen, or he'll even mumble to himself.
- Last year after giving fans a brand new song every month on average; since Half A Mind, all we have heard is one unfinished song in eight months.
